It’s more and more popular to provide and consume RESTful APIs for both public and private services. Best practices should be followed to make it easier for users of your API to integrate with it. There are a few not yet standardized practices that are generally accepted. This article provides a good summary and should aid anyone in designing a modern RESTful API.
